A thirst quenching Pale Ale with a smooth hoppiness, brewed by Timothy Wareman of Morebeer Brewing and Julian Alvarez Zarete of Poesiat & Kater. So cheers! The Eagle spreads her wings!

A beautiful beer with a a very special history, its origins rooted in the Netherlands as well as Italy. Late 2012 we brewed this beer for the first time with Kees Bubberman when he was still a brewer for Emelisse Brewing and we calles it Mikkie = Stout (stout also means naughty in Dutch). During spring 2013, Peter van der Arend (Morebeer Brewing) met the Italian brewer Giovanni Campari (Birrificio del Ducato) at the Gronings Beer Festival. It promised to be the start of a beautiful friendship. Late 2013, Peter flew to Italy with a recipe per Giovanni's request. Peter had asked Kees for approval to use the recipe of Mikkie = Stout. And now that the beer was brewed in Italy, it was renamed to Mikkie = Cattivella, which is Italian for naughty. The years have passed and Giovanni has now sold his brewery. Therefore we had to search for a new brewing partner and location. And now Mikkie = Cattivella has come home. We are brewing this wonderful beer at our friends from Poesiat & Kater, right here in Amsterdam. We already have a history with Poesiat & Kater as we also brew our other housebeer with them, the awardwinning Dutch Eagle!

Especially for the 5 year anniversary of the Beertemple in Amsterdam we were asked to create an awesome westcoast style IIPA. Our answer was the big fat double 5 IPA. With 5 hop varieties and some love the beer got a warm welcome! However, the owner of the Beertemple was so impressed he decided to have the beer as his new house-beer! Eventually it became the house beer of the Beertemple, ‘t Arendsnest & Craft&Draft; all located in Amsterdam. The Big Fat Double 5 was given the Gold medal in the Dutch beer challenge for best Imperial IPA of the Netherlands.

Dit is wat wij in het zuiden chique bier noemen. Gulpener Château Neubourg heeft een edele bitterheid. Een superieur Pilsner met karakter, naar grote hoogte getild door een geraffineerde combinatie van fijne kruiden en zuren, bloesem- en fruittonen en een aromatische gerststructuur. En bovendien gebotteld in een prachtige, stijlvolle fles. Château Neubourg is bekroond met een European Beer Star Award en behoort daarmee tot de top drie van de wereld. Een bier om exclusief van te genieten! Dit bier is goed te combineren met schaal- en schelpdieren, voorjaarsgroenten, asperges, kip, salade en verse zalm.

Gerardus Blond is een sprankelend bitter kloosterbier met een kruidige smaakaanzet. Specerijen en hop geven dit licht zoete bier zijn rijke, ronde smaakbeleving. We brouwen het op basis van een recept van de paters van het Redemptoristenklooster in Wittem. Een deel van de omzet van Gerardus Blond is bestemd voor het behoud van dit prachtige klooster. Bezoek het eens en kom dan ook naar onze brouwerij voor een proeverij. Gerardus Blond is goed te combineren met gerookte forel, salade, gegrilde kip en steak.

Like with all of our Van Vollenhoven line the Princesse Bier is a historical beer. Made for the wedding of Willem the 4th, Princesse Bier is a white beer with more champagne qualities. This beer is made with 50% wheat and topped off with orange peel and coriander. It's fermented with a traditional German yeast to give the beer a clean and dry finish.

Little Stout: the long awaited love baby of our two prizewinning beers! We gave the historic recipe of the Van Vollenhoven Extra Stout the characteristic high temperature mash of the Little Smuling session IPA. The result is a stout low in alcohol but with a full body and taste, with strong notes of roast, coffee and caramel. Beware of this dog!

A modern twist on a classic style. The English ale yeast pumps up the fruitiness. Sorachi Ace hops bring a touch of lemon. It's eeeasy drinking and exxxtra dangerous! Sebastiaan [Kaintz] – Genius brewmaster and creator of the iconic beers from the old v.Vollenhoven&co brewery. Stubborn, fierce, and a drunk. Naturally, he was fired.

This bigger, juicier sister to our White Rabbit blends a punchy hop wallop with a creamy wheat mouth feel.

Infused Lambic with pine buds, called Winter Lambiek, combines the refreshing character of lambic and the flavor of pine trees. This brings up the winter holiday spirit while drinking a beer that is not overly spiced nor sweet.

When you collaborate with Põhjala from Estonia there is only one style to brew together. Known for their delicious porters and stouts, we’ve taken a walk on the dark side and created a decadent imperial stout with Amburana wood and toasted coconut. The Amburana Cearensis Tree, which is native to South America, is known for its unique flavour, with notes of cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg. We circulated this lusciously smooth and succulent stout over the Amburana wood, complimenting the intricate malt base and enhancing the flavours of these warming spices, with notes of treacle and chocolate. The toasted coconut marries with the fragrant vanilla to provide a gentle and balanced finish.

Houblons : Nectaron, Nelson Sauvin, Citra 44cl

Lip smacking and bursting at the seams. Burst IPA pops with a slight bubble gum aroma followed by fresh citrus and orange pith. Light to medium body finishing with a juicy grapefruit bitterness.

On the aroma are notes of bread, fruit and hops. The body is finely balanced between sweet and bitter. On the palate there is malted sweetness, nuts, caramel, roasted notes with nice citric hops. Hops used Chinook and Amarillo as well as Pale and Cara Crystal Malt. Flaked oats and roasted barley are used (allergens).

New England Style DIPA in cooperation with our brewers over in San Diego. We used Simcoe, El Dorado, Mosaic & Amarillo, to achieve a full flavored hoppy beast, with 15g per litre dry hopping rate.

An homage to a Belgian classic, made with orange peel and coriander seeds as tradition dictates. Resting on a soft foundation provided by the yeast, you get the pithy taste from the orange peel combined with the subtle character of the spices. Refreshing and crisp, while staying calm.

Very little bitterness, but plenty of tropical juice flavors.

A different take on our sessionable hazy game. We boosted the body, giving that orange hue familiar from beers like First Resort plus a touch more sweetness to help carry the fruit basket of hops on top. HBC586 (Hop Breeding Company - An American hop breeding lab where experiments go wrong and people develop super powers. Source: Wikipedia) is a trial hop a couple of the big hop breeding companies are excited about. It has all the classic mango, pineapple, morning juice vibes while sitting heavy on the tongue without becoming too dank.

Our legendary Passionfruit Gose, 'Passion Pool' is enveloped in juicy tropical fruit, mild salinity, and a befuddling drinkability. Restrained acidity and zippy carbonation makes this our favorite hot weather treat.
