A cheeky beer with a cheeky name, Mikkie is Cattivella is a monumental crème brûlée stout that speaks to your imagination. Originally conceived by Kees Bubberman and Peter van der Arend, then lovingly raised by Giovanni Campari (Berrificio Del Ducato), Mikkie is now adopted by Brouwerij Poesiat & Kater and here to stay!

Little Stout: the long awaited love baby of our two prizewinning beers! We gave the historic recipe of the Van Vollenhoven Extra Stout the characteristic high temperature mash of the Little Smuling session IPA. The result is a stout low in alcohol but with a full body and taste, with strong notes of roast, coffee and caramel. Beware of this dog!

Made to be a big beer but with less alcohol. Mashed in at a high temperature for a full body and juiced up with citrus and tropical fruit hops. Proof that LITTLE is the new big. Our dark wheat beer is impressive with its creamy white foam. A fruity-fresh sweetness and hints of mature bananas harmonise with delicious flavours of roasted malt, sparkling and full-bodied with a light caramel taste on the first sip. An excellent accompaniment from hearty meals and game to chocolate and nut desserts. Brewed according to our centuries-old brewing tradition on the Weihenstephan hill.

Cherry Kriek

Cuvée De Ranke is a mixed fermentation, blended ale. A combination of barrel-aged beer and lambic. 70% Belgium sour ale with 30% lambic. Taste: Full-bodied sour flavour, with notes of oak from oak-aging.

Hertog Jan Grand Pilsener is brewed longer with an additional lagering time. It is brewed with more ingredients and therefore has a full body and rich taste. This is a Pilsener to savor. Enjoy this beer at the right moment with enough time on your side. Hertog Jan Grand Pilsener: It’s worth the wait!

Tripel Karmeliet is still brewed to an authentic beer recipe from 1679 originating in the former Carmelite monastery in Dendermonde. Written over 300 years ago, this recipe describes the use of three kinds of grain: wheat, oats and barley. The name Tripel karmeliet thus refers both to its origin and its in-bottle refermentation. From many trial brews of multigrain tripels carried out at our brewery in the 90s, it appears that the particular historic combination of the 3 kinds of grain still remains the ideal blend.

Hertog Jan Grand Prestige is our crown jewel; the pride of the Hertog Jan brewery. For this dark and heavy Hertog Jan beer the special Hertog Jan malt is used: a special mix of four kinds of malt. This gives a rich, full flavor in which sweet and bitter can be distinguished. Hertog Jan Grand Prestige is one of the few beers that can be aged, the taste will become richer with the years. After two years of aging, the taste will start to change. After many years the taste will be similair to a Port wine.

Master brewer Gerard van den Broek made his ideal wheat beer: Hertog Jan Weizener. This willful wheat beer combines the best of a German weizen and Belgian witbier. The hop, malted wheat, fresh yeast, coriander and orange peel give it a full, fresh flavor and a deep gold color with a slight haze. The secondary fermentation on the bottle creates a fresher and richer taste and aroma.

This is a beloved stout. When first introduced as a limited special collaboration release with Cerveceria Insurgente and San Diego homebrewer Chris Banker (after his recipe won our annual homebrew competition), it was an instant hit and fans began clamoring for its return. Seeing as how its amazing flavor profile is evocative of Mexican hot chocolate, featuring coffee, pasilla peppers, vanilla, cinnamon, nutmeg and a generous amount of chocolate, we concluded it was the perfect stout to re-release in celebration of the Holidays and the entire winter season. This is now a highly anticipated yearly tradition that we are pleased to present from us to you, and makes a perfect wintry gift from you to your friends, loved ones, or simply to yourself. Cheers!

West Coast IPA Double Dry Hopped with Superdelic & Nectaron hops

A dry-hopped Belgian Pale Ale which defies tradition by combining Centennial and Cascade hops in the kettle, a dry hop addition of Centennial and Cascade hops, American malts, and a Belgian yeast strain. The result is a beer with earthy and spicy tones from the yeast and a slight orange note contributed by the hops. Our first beer.

A straw colored Belgian-style Saison brewed with chamomile flowers. It is fermented with a traditional saison yeast strain that imparts fruity and spicy notes that dovetail perfectly with the tea-like quality of the chamomile. Finishes dry, tart, and refreshing.

Perception is our newest creation, a west coast IPA with Comet and Centennial hops and Citra Cryo. It’s clean and fresh, has a beautifully piney, grapefruit punch, and is crazy drinkable at 7% ABV.

This one's bout ready to take some souls. The aroma on this bad Larry is phantasmic. Brewed with THE homies, the dawgs from Two Villains Brewing outta' Nyack village. We came together to create something poppin with hoppin' flavor and here she is. Used a base of 2-Row and white wheat, just doughy enough to last through your sip and big old DH of Citra, Pacific Sunrise and New Zealand grown Cascade. Smells like lychee, kiwi and pears, welches white fruit punch with a grape juice base. Tastes like white grapefruit punch, tropical lime, served up in a raw pineapple mug.

My wife and I had our first kid in 2020. His name is Liam. To mark the occasion, we named the next unnamed beer in the schedule after him. This ones for you buddy! Hopped with some of our favorite hops du jour, this beer continues to be a great freeze frame of where our IPA game was at in 2020. We’ve kept the recipe exactly the same and only adjusted our processes to where they are at today. Hopped with Nelson Sauvin, Sabro, and Motueka, we taste notes of tropical fruit, lime, coconut, gooseberry and unconditional love.

A classic nitro stout

Blended spontaneous style ale from casks of one and three years age with Tennessee grown watermelons.

This perpetual blend contains a mixture of mature Lambic-inspired wild ales and Saisons aged 20-44 months in a single French oak puncheon. This complex blend delivers notes of sandalwood and cedar, ruby red grapefruit, leather, and hay. Our signature Brettanomyces funk asserts itself mid palate, before French oak tannins lead to a drying finish with refreshing acidity. This beer will continue to evolve in the bottle.

Strawberry Rhubarb Sour is a gift for the senses. Strawberry is the yin to rhubarb’s yang—the sweet to the tart. This beautiful partnership creates a beer that glows ruby in the glass, bursts with strawberry aroma, and bites with every sip. Bright and effervescent, this sour is a fun and refreshing, lip-puckering treat perfect for every occasion, any time of the year.

Named after NASA’s first space station, launched in 1973, we take our love of space expedition and take a trip with our buddies from BK and explore their HDHC charge, blasting off with an Idaho 7 and Citra whirlpool and a Galaxy, Eclipse, Citra, and Citra Lupomax dry hop. Sky Lab pours tangerine yellow with the aroma of groove stand OJ, gummy bears, and pineapple melon. Big notes of Five Alive juice drink, lime PEZ, mango sorbet, orange creamsicles, and mandarin wedges in syrup lead into a creamy, hop-forward texture and a big blast of rainbow melon #EQjuice, making our expedition into space with our homies a fruitful one.

The Tasmanian Devil graces the label of our next beer. It’s one of the pictures from Pete’s photo album titled “Straight Outta the Southern the Hemisphere” (?). The Tasmanian Devil is the lore of Looney Tune legend although they do not really spin around like the cartoon character, they can be outrun by chickens, they normally cannot see 3 feet in front of their face, their eyes reflect red (like a devil), and they throw incredible temper tantrums when hungry. Enigmatic indeed. Enigmatic starts with a base of white wheat and oats before a big Citra whirlpool. We then generously dry hopped it with Enigma and Galaxy. Enigmatic pours a glowing bright tangerine with an aroma of tropical citrus, pineapple, and earthy berry. Big flavors of tangerine, pineapple, pinot gris, and, berry lead the way into a dank tropical fruit twist flavor from our signature #EQjuice profile. A few cans of this smooth and incredibly delicious concoction may have you dizzy.
